Hi, I’m Alyssa

I’m a highly sensitive therapist dedicated to creating a nurturing space for deeply feeling people

For most of my life I felt different. I was moved to tears by joy, sorrow, and everything in between, overwhelmed by too much to do at once, and needed tons of alone time to feel like myself. My emotions felt like a curse. Does this sound like you? When I discovered I’m a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), something revolutionary happened: I made changes to align my lifestyle with my natural design and began to see value in the unique way I experience the world. I learned to use my powerful emotions as a compass to navigate challenging times and point me in the direction of what matters most. As your therapist, I want to help you do the same. Drawing from my professional training and personal experience, I make it my life’s mission to empower sensitive souls on their path toward healing and self-discovery.

The key ingredient to successful therapy is a trusting relationship with your therapist. But you’ve felt painfully misunderstood before, and it’s scary to open up to someone new.

What would it feel like to be seen and heard by someone who actually gets it?

I understand now that I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often, ‘For the same reason I laugh so often – because I’m paying attention’
— Glennon Doyle

Step out of the overwhelm and into a space of restful, healing connection

Creating a truly therapeutic environment is my top priority, and that means getting back to the basics. I pay close attention to the simple ways I can help you feel safe and understood. That starts with offering you my authentic presence. My style is warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and infused with lots of humor. As a fellow deep feeler, you can trust that I’ll join you in the full depth of your emotional experience. You won’t ever be made to feel like you’re “too much”. As for our physical environment, my office is quiet and peaceful with minimal clutter. This allows space for what’s most important: two humans joining together in healing partnership. My promise to you is that our sessions will be a compassionate, confidential place where you can express yourself openly without fear of judgment.
